How to use a private NAS library? Manga, ebooks, and video
When manga, ebooks, and videos already live on a NAS or computer, the hard part is rarely “having a library”—it is continuing on the phone without copying everything. Bingzhiyi’s trio each does one job: files stay with you; the app opens them.
Three clear jobs
- Manga library → ManYue: WebDAV / SMB / local import, keep paging on the road
- Ebook library → ShuYu: Calibre / OPDS, carry reading progress
- Video folders → YunYing: SMB or a media-server entry, play directly
How to start (shared)
- Confirm the NAS / computer already exposes the service (WebDAV, SMB, Calibre content server, …)
- Try on the same LAN first; add secure remote access later
- Open the matching app, add one source, verify with a small file
- Then tidy folders and account permissions
FAQ
Does Bingzhiyi provide manga or video content?
No. You add files or keep them on your own devices / NAS.
Do I need all three apps?
No. Manga only → ManYue first; Calibre → ShuYu; video-first → YunYing. Full list: All apps.
How is this different from copying files to the phone?
Copying fits small offline batches. Large libraries usually stay on the NAS; the app connects to your source.
