How do I connect Calibre / OPDS ebooks on iPhone?

If Calibre already manages books on a computer, connecting the phone to the same library beats copying files back and forth.

Steps

  1. Start the Calibre content server on the computer or NAS, or prepare an OPDS URL
  2. Confirm the phone can reach the library (same LAN, or secure remote access)
  3. Open ShuYu → add a private library → Calibre or OPDS → address and account
  4. Open one small book first: pages and progress working, then browse more

I see the list but cannot open a book?

Covers and titles are not the same as downloaded text—open a chapter before going offline.

Library connect vs Files import?

Few books → local import; many books already in Calibre/OPDS → connect the library.

How does progress sync?

Configure your own WebDAV per ShuYu’s notes. Sync covers reading data; book files on another device are a separate check.
